Background:
Hi, I’m Miranda. I grew up in a rural town in NC and later moved to the Lake Norman area of NC. I have a B.S. in Managerial Accounting from Johnson & Wales University and an M.B.A. in Business Management from Winthrop University. I didn’t go to college for accounting at first, like most college kids, I changed my major several times and honestly landed on accounting because I couldn’t figure out what the heck I wanted to do, but realized EVERY business needs an accountant so I thought, might as well try this out. What a great step because I LOVE it!

I gained my CPA while in my first job as an auditor, got married to my hubs Jonathan and the entrepreneurship started from there. First, my husband started his own landscaping business which has now become a grading/excavation biz. I then began my own “side hustle” renting wedding decor.

With all of this entrepreneurship became lots of learning about what business owners NEED when it comes to their books, and then the idea of Every Last Cent was born.

When I’m not crunching numbers, you can catch me trying to keep up with my two sons (Holden & Nate) who are Irish twins (born 11 months and 3 weeks apart). We love being outside, going camping, going on the lake, and just spending time together!

Background:
Hi, I am Kaden. I grew up in Northern Virginia and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in 2006 with a B.S. in Environmental Science. Immediately upon graduating, I added to my surmounting personal financial debt by purchasing a brand new car. My disregard for my soaring debt continued up until 2014, when I heard Dave Ramsey for the first time on the radio. I accepted his challenge!

Utilizing Dave Ramsey’s “Snow ball method” for debt elimination, I was able to pay off my 8 years of accumulated debt. I became officially debt free before the end of 2016! This was one of my greatest accomplishments and most humbling experiences.

Before the end of 2018, I obtained the Ramsey Solutions’ Master Financial Coach certification. Since earning this certification, I have continued to work closely with family, friends, and the community in personal finance education and resource distribution.

Early this year (2023) my sister, Miranda, pitched the idea of starting a bookkeeping business. Soon after that, Every Last Cent was born. Building Every Last Cent has been very rewarding for me personally as I really enjoy working with data and helping others with their finances. I can’t wait to help you “Make sense of your cents”!

My wife, Bradi and I are avid explorers. We are gradually exploring the world together and working on meaningful projects that we believe add value to others. With our more recent Scuba Open Water certifications Bradi and I are now “official” diving buddies.
